Sumner Regional Medical Center (SRMC) announced its first baby born in the New Year was Gena Amir, born on Wednesday, January 1, at 9:02 a.m. to Neven and Sam Amir of Gallatin.  Baby Amir weighed in at 7 pounds, 7 ounces, and 20 ¾ inches in length, and was delivered by SRMC OB/GYN Brandon Montgomery, M.D. As SRMC’s “New Year’s Baby,” the Amir family received a gift basket filled with items for the newborn and a one-month supply of diapers and wipes.  Gena joins big sister Juneer, 1, also born at SRMC.
